Hitting It Off Like The Novelas, Fashion Designers Created The Buzz At AAFW

Amidst colors and glitters, we were astounded to get a load of the designers’ bluntness and inspiration covering its course into actuality as if they were whispering the tale of a telenovela. Witnessing the romance of moods married in a show of twists and turning points hit us with the forte of the Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, where every label had a chronicle to discuss.

Matteau

Showing us the summery collection of baggy and vintage styles, Matteau had something that got us talking. Despite the brand’s staple impression of swimsuits, voluminous earthy hues, and windy tailoring being the highlight, the trouser categories and shirting styles were smashers.

Oroton

Oroton took the leverage to present a magical collection at AAFW. As known for its leather goods, the brand did something different this time to confirm its throne on the runway. The yellows, tans, bubblegum pink, green, and white outfits all were the colors featuring their summer of love pieces in maxi dresses, shirts, and whatnot.

We Are Kindred

Ditching the ramp, We Are Kindred chose a charming garden to present their Resort ’23 collection. Label inspired by the bohemian fashion posed a life sketch with their latest collection. Indulged in get-togethers and sweet digs, they threw a garden party for us in a relaxing environment.

Michael Lo Sordo

Michael Lo Sordo’s show did not take off on the regular runway either. Holding champagne in hand came the A-list industry artists, editors, and other brand supporters at the penthouse in the Crown Casino on the 88th floor. Organized there was the Resort ’23 collection starring cut designs and silky dresses, Y2K-inspired fashion enhancing the marbled room.

Karla Spetic

Boldness is what we looked forward to the whole time. Karla Spetic gradually set forth an arresting collection of which one resembled a net structure. Cut-outs and smooth colors of blue, pink, and neutrals, others were combined to curate a dipping onto the resort look for warmth.

Sass & Bide

Sass & Bide danced on the runway with their laser beam theme collection. They showcased loose fabrics in shirts, skirts, and trousers, with cowboy boots being the show biggie. Fur shawls in black and baby pinks were another emphasis of the styles, with oversized designs and accessories sparkling in the display lights.

Auteur

Sexiness was the lead on the Auteur show. Lucinda Taffs, a model turned designer, knows how to get into people’s skin with an elegant resort wardrobe collection. Ribbed dresses might seem simple, but heedful, they toned the sexy energy of one’s heart. These dresses were the cravings for creamy beach wearers and for the evening cocktail throwers.

Aje

As pretty as a picture, the filled-out fabrics and shaped outlines were the sure things to prosper the collection of Aje. Taking up the space in the room, they called out to everyone with their gorgeous bloated fuchsia dress and the exceptionally fit dress, entailing a skirt that wobbled with every step on the platform.

Albeit playing their characters, all designers harbored the lust to twinkle on the tabloids in the genre of fashion storytelling.
