Intro

The New Year is just around the corner, and you know what that means - new trends are on their way! This year has seen a lot of different styles come in and out of fashion. We've had the "athleisure" trend, which is back with a vengeance. But there are still some other trends that will be sticking with us for 2022, so keep reading to find out about 5 upcoming fashion trends!

1. The waistline is going to be high - Flattering your waist can be tricky, but it doesn't have to be! This year, the trend of high waistlines will make it easier for you to find something that flatters your stomach without compromising on style.

2 Sporty, Active Wear-Inspired Looks - The athleisure trend is back in full force for 2022! You can find activewear-inspired looks in stores and on the runway. Designers are taking cues from the athletic world to bring us bold pieces that will make sure you're ready for whatever life throws at you.

3. A lot of lace and mesh fabrics will be used in tops and dresses - Lace fabric has already made a comeback this year, but these pretty, delicate fabrics will be sticking around for the New Year! Dresses will also feature lace panels to create a feminine feel.

4. Accessories will play a bigger role in outfits than ever before! - It can be difficult to find the perfect pair of shoes that go with every outfit, but the accessory trend for 2022 will make it easier for you to look your best and stay current. More and more clothing is getting one main accessory, like a scarf or a belt, so keep an eye out for these trends!

5. You'll see more patterns on clothes - think about what you want to express with your outfit The pattern trend is huge and so much fun - it's an easy way to add some dimension to your outfit, making your clothes feel like they're truly yours!

The trick with patterns is using them sparingly. You don't want to end up looking like a Dalmatian or too matchy-matchy. I'm all for combining patterns but playing around with proportions: scale one of your prints down and make the other one bigger (think of it as a more subtle version of oversized). A patterned skirt usually looks right with a solid top, but you can go the other way, too: high-waisted jeans and/or thick cuff bracelets look really great with an all-over printed shirt dress - either complementary
